Step 1 is make sure you're happy and doing your own thing without her.

Step 2 is to remember that you still have to be cool, and to not be needy

Step 3 is do this a bunch of times and fuck it up so you know what not to do because no internet post could cover all the nuances but after getting burned a few times you'll sure as fuck learn what they are.

If you want her to be a FWB, just keep hanging out and fucking her, and not really putting a label on anything. Fuck her really good. Avoid boyfriend-y behavior. She'll prob try to put you into that frame as a test at some point. But also be a nice, normal person. Like, you don't have to wait X hours/days to text her back or never answer her questions about how your day went. Just be aware of how things are going and be smart about the signals that you're giving her.
