27[M] broke up following a 4yr relationship.
One thing which is really getting to me after the breakup is : how the hell do you make new guy friends at 27?
My current friend situation: - Good friends I can hang out with; grab a few drinks at the bar or some other 'low energy' location, where there are not many women around. Unfortunately, these guys are all in LTRs so they have no interest to go to clubs/parties
- Single friends who I can kinda meet once in a while yet they do their own thing or have their own clique. These are mostly guys I knew from high school or earlier but have not invested much contact time int he last few years. Understandably, they don't give that much of a fuck whether I go out or not. And when we usually we meet, it's rarely for a party/clubbing.
I am doing all the right things to get back on track. I am fit, I exercise 5x a week, I eat healthy, I have a good paying job, I am above average looking, I read and have hobbies. I have joined meetup groups related to my interests, yet I still feel that anxiety that I have no/little guy friends who want to party.
1) How do you solve this situation? (especially since you need time/months before you go out clubbing with friends) 2) Am I overthinking this? 3) Could I just skip night game altogether and get really good at day game? The thing is, that if I am constantly worrying that I do not have a 'squad' I can hang out with, I start to become anxious, which doesn't help me approaching women. It kinda becomes a self-fulfiling prophecy. This does not get easier especially given that I see my ex constantly attending events and partying like it's 1999.
Help appreciated
