I didn't move to New York until after I graduated and started working, but I dated a girl for about a year while she attended one of the colleges you mentioned.

My impression was that night life for college students (and basically everyone else) in NY centers pretty heavily around bars and clubs. Some of the schools you mentioned have Greek life but they're absolutely nothing like stereotypical state schools where socially everything is dominated by frats and sororities.

This means that you should absolutely get a fake ID. People throw house parties from time to time but usually this just ends up being a glorified pregame before going out to a bar around midnight.

In terms of one night stands this will probably happen anytime between 2am and when the bars close at 4am, with the venues turning into more of a sausage fest as the night progresses. It can happen very quickly, one of my friends met his current girlfriend late in the night at a bar and was fucking her 20 minutes later, but that's pretty rare. Usually girls aren't going to leave their friends to fuck you, so if this is the case you'll want to find out as soon as possible. Personally, I think the quality of girl you can get from collecting phone numbers and meeting 1 on 1 is higher than the girls that will fuck you immediately after meeting.

I've probably had over 30 ONS from tinder and Id say the average time is 4-6 hours.
