So I sometimes get compliments for whatever reason, "I like your bag/shoes", for example. Is there any other way of carrying on the conversation apart from just saying "Thanks"? That kind of kills the conversation, and I'm hesitant to counter-compliment as it can often sounds insincere. Any tips?
