I don't know man, it just comes to you I guess. I never had issues. Here are some examples from what I can remember.

She's speaking Swedish with her friend? Interrupt and ask if they're speaking Swedish. She will act surprised that you know and then you can continue.

She's checking out a book at the bookstore in a section that you browse frequently? Ask if she's read the author's other works.

She's sitting around glued to her phone outside the mall? Tease and ask her if she's waiting for her boyfriend and why she's running late. If she says she doesn't have a boyfriend and laughs, continue on about what she plans to do for the day and what she's up to.

She is walking her dog at the park? Pet the dog. The dog will stop, trust me. Continue petting and asking questions about the dog, move on to learn about her.

Hell, she's walking down the street and you make eye contact and she smiles, turn around and say hey and use a funny pick up line. If it's funny she will laugh and then you can ask her basic questions.

Now you have something interesting to talk about in these situations. That's your conversation. Move on to getting to know the basics about them. After a few min of bullshitting, tell them they're too cute to not get their number and that you want to get together sometime to continue it since you're enter excuse here (e.g. running late)

Approaching girls is not a big deal, you can create such a environment where girls not going to reject you. It can be a short term way and long term.
