hey i'm in a similar situation. usually beginners are impatient and easily fall to desperation. what i did is to make my self busy by playing video-games and sports. do this and you will be more patient and less aggressive/desperate towards women. dont put too much time on her and do your thing slowly.

Try to understand first that our partners are our friends too, just have a normal conversation like you would have with your friend and try to find things that both of you could talk, it can be very difficult to keep a conversation with a girl if you are talking about soccer or videogames and she don't know anything about it , try to find a good topic, something in common and just treat her like a friend and let it clear that you like her more that just a friend add some flirting, or just a comment like " you are so beautiful" " I like the way that you smile"...
