I have been in the situation of orbitting someone a few times. It's hard to get someone to like you, when you've already made clear you like that person a lot.

Mostly they are popular girls, who can afford it to reject someone, couse another man will take his place. These girls are used to attention, used to be flattered.

What to do in that situation? Sadly, what I find working the best for me, is being mean or giving them less attention. If you say something like "that's not the best pic I've ever seen of you ;)" she will be confused. The guy who always told her she was pretty now says she isn't? Most girls will try to fix that by coming on to you. At least, that's what I've experienced.
