I see my neighbors every now and then, usually while I'm driving to and from my house. What would be the best way to talk to them?

I've been considering going the "new neighbor from television" route, where you basically introduce yourself to neighbors in a friendly manner.

I've seen another "long game" route where basically you just wait until you see them again. As much as i want to try this, I can't just be waiting around. I'm never just hanging out outside my home.

Any thoughts on this?
