Anything I can do upfront to keep her interested until I'm back?

Not much. If she loves to chat a lot, then i would probably keep that up. But if she's mellow I'd just let her know you'll be in touch once you return.

I might text her once every several days, if that. Or maybe when the vacation is winding down. I generally don’t text new chics when I’m on vacation. If I just met a girl she’s not that important; if I’m on vacation I’m on vacation - I’m too busy for texting new girls. Most girls understand this and shouldn’t be bothered by the non texts. If not, screw them. Sending texts to new girls gives the wrong vibe, tells them I give them value/importance when I shouldn’t (I don’t know her so why would she be important). I shouldn’t be texting her because I’m on vacation, having fun, and meeting other girls. Again, most people understand this. If you already agreed on a date then just reach out when you return. My 2 cents.
