Thankfully over time I've built up enough confidence to approach people and start a conversation. I can occasionally get a number or two. My problem is the fact that my conversations suck. Like...they're really boring. The topics are usually boring. (It may be something I'm passionate about but she isn't. Or vice versa.) Even if we're both passionate about it, conversation tends to feel more like an interview, seminar, or business meeting. Basically, it's not fun and naturally, they lose interest. I try joking but unless they get my super subtle sarcastic sense of humor, my jokes are generally pretty corny....haha

TLDR; Any advice on how I can spice up conversations? I've heard my charismatic co-worker make a discussion about car loans seem interesting so I know the topic really isn't the problem.
