It's always best to be honest about your intentions, not only because it's the right thing to do but because people that are attracted to you have the tendency to not take what you say at surface level and find reasoning for why you probably didn't mean the thing you said. Example: You: " I'm only looking for something casual" Them: with other people not with me though if I show up enough they'll see that we get along well

My point is, it's very important to be crystal clear about your intention, whether romantic or non romantic towards someone, reduces the bullshit and is the mature thing to do.

I was in a long term relationship (3ish years) then in a 2 year long casual thing with a friend which was absurd and now I'm scared of dating but I want to desperately. Lol shit happens good luck friend

The best girl that I've ever attracted (look+personality wise) was when I myself was a non-toxic, non-judgemental, chill guy. I spent nights with a tattooed girl who smoked weed all-day and had no plan for future, I've been with a girl who needed me emotional support after her break-up and also with a girl who was perfect in all dimensions.

The lesson I learned? Don't put a label on her. When you put a label on someone and kind of think you're better, you're not living in the moment and that blocks a lot of opportunities.

So there's no secret here. Just chill, be open to what life has to offer, live in the moment and a lot of good opportunities will present themselves to you. You'll get what you want and beyond that.

(And yeah, really get to know people. Learn to accept people's 'bad' side and know their story.)

I often have that same issues of like, needing an emotional connection to sleep with someone basically. So, I’ve found that finding extremely genuine people helps with this. I’m not into polyamory but I also want to try dating around so I also get you on that part as well. Honestly, it might be worth dating around a bit and simply having FWB with some down to earth people. It might ease the emotional connection part and bit and also keep you from leading people on or focusing in on one person. (If that’s what you wanted to do, that is). Good luck
