Last night I hung out with the usually crowd of people and have had an eye on a younger girl (19). I (23) convinced her to pay a dollar for a massage. She got her dollars worth and thanked me but then got on the couch between me and a friend. The friend had his girl leave earlier so I know he was not interested. We are sitting there watching the movie and I have a problem that I start leaning into a girl and do some kind of weird touching thing were I just make contact with the person but nothing more than an elbow or something, I know this is weird. Well I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing that by moving over but she got closer again. She elbowed me under her sweatshirt that was on her lap, my interpretation is are you going to do something about this? In so many words. I watch the whole movie and could not tell if I was used for warmth or if she wanted more. Now my question to seddit is How do you escalate with a girl in a small setting with other close friends? I'm pretty sure she has been with guys that have lived or visit the house often. I want to get more comfortable since I do not particularly like PDA when other people do it and feel even more uncomfortable when I do it. Is it as simple as putting the arm around the girl and escalate later when you are more alone? I have a visit planned with a girl I'm really interested in and feel this will be a problem since I show interest but not in an appropriate way. Any help will be appreciated.
