The same way women find the eagerness of some guys to be a turn off, guys find the eagerness of some women to be as well.
The chase is sometimes better than the catch

He was texting me nearly every day for a month before we finally made it happen. He was very much the eager one. But perhaps he changed his mind and only wanted a one time thing (not what he had alluded to tho prior). I guess if that was the case tho idk why he would still be flirty a lil over text. Maybe just trying to be nice by not ghosting and/or just liking being desired still and not be direct about what he wants

Cut off contact for a week, don’t respond to his messages and you’ll see how he responds to that.
As a guy, getting laid easily with little effort and no strings attached instills the belief in you that it can be done with other women as well.
Some guys prefer the case than the actual catch and if you can get laid regularly the person you will want to fuck most will be the one you haven’t fucked yet.

Ok yea the ball is definitely in his court at this point. I’m going to cut of contact for at least a week and if I haven’t heard from him I think I have my answer. But also he might randomly hit me back up again, and I don’t do well with that kind of open uncertainty, so with me being the way I am I think I would have to know and establish if he’s interested in seeing me again at all or if he decided he’s done. Definitely giving it at least a week tho

You don’t know what’s goin on in his life. But you have setup a casual sexual relationship, maybe he’s busy, maybe he’s not. It’s too early to tell unless you know this guy, what’s goin on. My advice, stay icey, you’ve invited him over, he said no, that’s cool..he’s now in the category of we will only talk when you chase me. You didn’t get rejected either, sex for a lot of guys in casual situations is the end of process, a completion of a desire. Where as I imagine with women it feels like the start, like you’ve let them in so you expect them to stay! That’s why women have to hold back on sex for guys they like so they become suitably invested in the girl before they are allowed to feel completion and they will come back for more. It’s weird, i know!
Well yeah, cause here’s the thing we recently reconnected after a ONS like three years ago lol, and now we literally live like right down the street from each other. we didn’t say it definitively but we were both like oh you know it would be cool to have someone we could just pop over and hang out with since we’re so close. I’m looking for a FWB and would be awesome if he could be that.

Well that’s sounds awesome to me! But fwb i would assume would be mostly setup by the guy and the girl goes along with it. For a girl to set it up it plays with the man / woman dynamic of the man chasing the women and the woman having to protect her modesty but giving it up because the guy has temporarily earned it. Now this is only really relevant for younger people 18-30 as the older you get the more men become more open to more equal relationships! Basically as I see it you only get to allow the guy to treat you as a fwb and setting it up as a girl can be problematic as it can be seen to reduce her value! Not saying it can’t be done tho! Plus a FWB down the street can be lot of pose a number of potential hazards he may be concerned about, like if you go catch feelings and get crazy!
I have had a very successful FWB relationship before so I know it can be done. Thanks for your input :)

Some guys do lose interest if you give them sex too soon
That’s all we were gonna do from the start and he alluded to it being a cool convenient set up because we live right down the street from one another, but I guess it’s possible he changed his mind

These same people would either not last all the way to the end for sex or will STILL lose interest after say a year because of it

I know a girl who like a guy. She invited him home and when the thing was going very well, the guy said he has a bad headache went home. They didn’t end up dating after that. Sound like a lame excuse, right? But guess what, I am the guy’s friend and I knew he did have a bad headache. He kept saying he regret missing the chance that day.
You don’t really know if it was a lie or not, unless you have a solid proof. He might actually be slammed with work because his boss mistaken his free time with availability, it can happen.
