Hey, believe in the process because I can promise it will pay off. About two years ago I was going through serious depression as a College Freshman Who couldnt make any friends let alone get any girls to be interested in him. When I was at my lowest, I managed to hit it off with a cute greek girl who I exchanged numbers with and asked on a date. She said Yes and we arranged a time/date and everything. I put on my nicest clothes, made sure my pubes were in good condition and went to go pick her up. When i arrived I texted her, then called her, and there was no response. After 15 minutes she texted me telling me she was drunk, with friends, in another town, and that her earlier plans took longer than expected. I spend the next hour crying alone in my car.

long story short, I felt absolutely horrible about myself even though it was 100% not my fault.

Through a mutual friend, I later learned that she was a raging alcoholic who eventually became addicted to cough syrup and was kicked out of school a semester later for being such a piece of shit.

TLDR: Some people in this world are just pieces of shit and their actions towards you shouldnt say anything about your character,

I think this guy gets it. This is the kind of thing I hope other people are learning from lurking this sub. It's not about how often you get laid, but learning that you don't need validation from anybody but yourself (by enjoying yourself).

Hang around alphas and you'll be alphas. GOOD alphas not douchy ones. You can watch and learn how they handle rejection. THAT is the most important part. How to handle failure is a big thing in this game. Does it stop you? Do you worry about it? Do you worry about it? OR Do you continue trying? Improve? etc... You get your confidence sky high when you fail and survive through those failures. Been there, done that kicks in and you don't get too emotional about it because you recognize the situation. You'll find the situations are the same over and over and over again. THEN when you know those situations, you know which ones you work best at and can identify them. In other words, you'll know how to put yourself in successful situations. Keep swinging.

A question for OP and anyone willing to answer: How many of you that have gotten stood up send a confirmation text several hours before meeting up with the person?
