We work in retail; she's checkouts, I'm on the floor. It's often really busy and I'm usually at the far end of the store anyways so there's hardly any chance we talk. On top of that, she only works Sundays, so the only times we see each other is if we're miraculously called in on each others days.

So, we haven't had much chance to talk.

If we're lucky it'll get quiet around closing time which gives me a chance to slip to the front and do some trolleys, where we can do small talk as I pass by, or we manage to take breaks at the same time but actual work often gets in the way.

We text occasionally but since she's a bookworm student she's busy, you know, studying.

But would a relationship between coworkers be alright in the first place? I heard in office environments it's looked down upon but it seems alright in my store atleast.

I mean, I don't even know if she likes me to begin with.

The other part of me thinks that I should just not be bothered with a relationship and just focus on work. I've been focusing on work for a while to get over my last relationship and now I'm sort of stuck in that "I'm on that bread grind 😤😤💯" vibe.

But yeah a bit of a ramble but I'd like to hear some insight from random strangers thanks :)
