I want people to enjoy talking to me.

It doesn't really have anything to do with the opposite gender. I'm, on average, terrible at small talk. I'm the person who goes to family reunions and ends up being in awkward silences when relatives try to ask how i'm doing. Convos tend to end up in a "so...yeah" moment when we run out of things to talk about.

Someone would ask "How'd your test go?" and I'd answer "Pretty good. Managed to pass it." and then we'd stand there. I'm good with inside jokes and talking about hobbies, so I'm pretty talkative with close friends. Everyone else, though, I really have no idea what to say.

Obviously this is a huge detriment to trying to be a PUA (which I'm not. I just want more charisma.). I'm tired of being that guy nobody really chats with on AIM/texts/facebook because I'm terrible at it. I want to catch up on what's going on in the lives of my friends.

I want to be able to talk to my grandparents and have something more to say than "How are you?"
