Well folks, I just got my plane ticket, and I'm moving to Southampton to take some classes in 30 days. I'm from Canada.

As I'm moving into a house with 4 other people - 3 guys, 1 girl - whom I've never met, I have the obvious anxieties that I will slip back into some old ways and not be sociable enough. How do you guys suggest approaching the problem of building a social network quickly?

As someone who lives in a club-dominated city here in Canada, I pine for the pub-culture that I've been told exists in Southampton and England in general. As someone who doesn't have the most fantastic game in clubs, but likes pubs and bars, this sounds exciting for my social life. How, though, should I adapt to a new country where I am, effectively, the foreigner? Is this a positive or a negative? How would game practically need to change in a new country?

Generally, how would Seddit advise I tailor my game (which is similar to James Marshall's low-energy style) to a new situation where I know nobody?
