when you are shooting your shot via dms, stop building comfort and rapport. Those aren't necessary for her to need to go on a date with you. Instead, do this:

Have a direct opener that is playful and fun (direct meaning romantic interest is established through first text) and then playfully banter for 2-3 messages. If she is bantering back and being playful, I ask her out on the date. If she says anything other than a yes, it's a no, and on to a next.

Using a girl’s looks as a justification for you hitting on them, will usually be met with objections and distrust. They will know you are playing a numbers game to see which one is easier to sleep with and will see it coming a mile away.

Ask her out instead of saying you’d like to get to know her better. Set up a date, time, and location. FaceTime on Instagram counts as a location. You don’t have to build much rapport if your Instagram showcases your lifestyle.
