See here for some background.
Now that you are all caught up, I just got home from my first date. Ever. First date ever. Specifically, it was with girl #2 from my previous post. I don't want to get too in-depth with a FR, since it was less seduction/pickup and more of a date. But I am worried I blew it.
Here's what I do know. We both dressed up accordingly, so it felt date-y. Not fancy or anything, but you know....nice. Conversation was good. I came off as interesting, funny, and adventurous (I think, anyways). I talked way more than I thought I would have, which I think is good (I'm pretty introverted). She talked too, so I don't think I was overbearing or anything. In retrospect, I am pretty sure she was trying to qualify herself at some points (I told her about some of the more interesting things I've done, and she either tried to reciprocate or admitted she wasn't as adventurous...this might not exactly be "qualifying," but at least she didn't come off as trying to be out of my league or something). The date was interesting enough (we saw a band play at a record store, walked a bit through a nice city park, then had dinner). Not too long, too awkward, too high-pressure, nothing (it was tonight, on a Tuesday). So I think it was successful in some ways.
Here's what I'm worried about....no kino. Damnit, self! We hugged at the start and end (nice hugs, not awkward). I tried to start kino at the beginning (my hand on her arm when emphasizing a point). But that was kinda the end. I clearly moved my chair around the side of the table when we sat for dinner (she sat on a booth-type bench) so we sat at a 90 degree angle...this was good for natural on/off eye contact and expressive body language, but I didn't really touch her. She wasn't pulling away or anything, but it just didn't come naturally. I think this means I didn't do enough kino early/often enough.
Do I still have a shot if I didn't develop physical interaction right at the start? I think the conversation was good enough that I may have developed some level of attraction, but it wasn't really flirty. She did ask in a couple different ways if I was busy for the rest of this week and on the weekend, and she said we should go out again (her exact words escape me, but it was definitely something to this effect)...but I'm worried she was just saying that and will flake in the future. Is this the start of "dating," potentially resulting in a relationship after a few more (w/kino), vice a highly attraction-based pickup that I typically see here? Or am I friend zoning myself? Man, talk about AFC.
Or am I just overthinking this? Is r/seduction getting to my head?
Actually, after proofreading this post, I think I know the problem: too many fucks. So, zero fucks will be given from this point. Who knows...I am still expecting a call from girl #1 this week...
tl;dr First date was a quasi-sucess, but no kino. Now what? Also, I am giving too many fucks.
