Is there an obvious way to determine whether or not a woman you don't know that is smiling at you attracted to you or just plain being nice?

That always puzzles me sometimes I just get eye contact with a women I don't know on the street and she gives a huge smile. Sometimes when I even talk to one. Its hard to tell when It's just her being polite and when she sends some cues.
