Hi! So for this New Years, I'll be celebrating with my friends, and my friend(for whom I want to be my girlfriend) will be celebrating with hers. She will be celebrating in the city in a club, and I will be in a nearby village at some house, but at the far away outskirts of that village. A good friend proposed the idea to me to go to the club where she will be, find her, and just before the clock strikes midnight go up to her(reveal myself as a surprise), and ask her to be my GF. A really cool idea right? A real flashy moment, fireworks in the background, there will probably be confetti flying and everyone will be happy. However, we still haven't kissed. We've both opened up to eachother and told eachother that we have feelings for the other. But I just couldn't bring myself to kiss her, for it would be my first time, and I don't want to ruin it for her. Should I just go for the kiss when I go up to her or should I save that for another time. What do you think I should do? Is this a good idea? Oh, I almost forgot. She is really against alcohol and drinking, so me showing up tipsy to avoid the stress wouldn't result all too good.

UPDATE: I went to the club after the fireworks, I went to her, surprised her, and to my bug surprise, she was really really calm. Like she knew I'd come. So I asked her to come out with me, that I needed to ask her something. We went out, I gave her my jacket and we just started talking. We talked for about an hour and a half before we kissed. We froze our butts off. And the kiss was... well, to me very special. But I didn't ask her to be my girlfriend, I thought that it would be better to ask that on a date in one of the following days.
