Summary:

Maintain your frame. When you lose your cool, you surrender your frame, and if you can't handle that with a stranger on the internet — one who is trying to help you — you're definitely going to fail when it's a hot girl giving you a shit test.

I see a lot of people in this subreddit, as much as anywhere on Reddit or the internet as a whole, who respond angrily with insults and violent language when someone disagrees or criticizes them.

The overwhelming majority of people who comment in /r/seduction and /r/askseddit are trying to help you. Different people have different opinions, advice, and techniques for how to do that, but by-and-large, all of those commenters have good intentions.

When someone says something that makes you feel defensive, rather than going off and calling them names, insulting them, or insinuating that they don't get any dates, you should take a moment to ask yourself why that comment made you feel defensive. Was it really rude? Or was it maybe the case that something they said challenges how you see the world, and maybe it's possible that you were wrong about something? After all, you're the one asking for help, so obviously you're not perfect.

The reason I say all this is because here on the internet, we're all just anonymous people typing into a computer. There is very little we want from each other or that we can offer each other. But out there in the real world, where you're trying desperately to have success in dating, you're going to be around people who have much more to offer you, a more directly tangible effect on your life, and from whom you want a lot more.

If you can't handle your frame here, where you have plenty of time to think, and nothing really to prove, then how are you going to respond when that hottie at the bar gives you a massive shit test?

When I see someone get butthurt in here, I just cringe as I imagine them going off on some stranger who just gave him a shit test that he failed.

Maintaining your frame and handling your emotions is possibly the most important part of seduction. It is worth your time and energy to learn to control this. Not because some guy on the internet got his feelings hurt, but because YOU don't want to get your feelings hurt out there in the real world.

Trust me, guys. They're gonna test you, and inside you're going to feel defensive, at times even angry... the practice you get at controlling that online, where everything is asynchronous, will help you immensely at having pre-learned, practiced, ability to respond in the real world where you do have pressure to respond right away.
