Preface: Long time lurker, first time poster.

Recently I've grown fed up with my dating and sex life, or the lack there of, and began reading a lot of books on self improvement. This includes Mark Manson's The Subtle art of not giving a f$#k and Models. I have also read no more mr. Nice Guy, and Unf$#k yourself. All of these have the same lessons, just different tones of "You're gonna die so why be afraid?"

I say all of that to ask this. Is it ok just to ask? Like if jerking it isn't enough to satisfy physical needs, can just talking to a person, and after a somewhat lengthy conversation, just straight up ask to have sex? It seems almost to good to be true. I understand I would be rejected, but some how there is an air of credibility.

I would like to hear any thoughts, and advice that you all can give.
