I'll keep this brief.

I met a girl at a bar last week and exchanged numbers after saying we would go out on a date. I tried to set something up 2.5 (the .5 is a long story) times but there was an excuse one time and then silence another time.

I read a post here last night about the 2/3 strike "rule" so I decided to text this girl saying it was nice to meet, good luck with life, blah blah blah. Immediately, I get a message back apologizing and she suggested a place and time. I agreed to it.

A few take-aways from this. * Let go after a few tries. No need to tie yourself down and waste time.
* It they want you, you will know it one way or another. Don't make excuses for them.
* Women (often) want what they can't have. Letting them know that you won't put your life on hold for them could act like a fast forward button for your life, like it did in my case.

ALSO Thanks guys for your help. I've been lurking and trying to build my confidence over the last little while and you guys have taught me a lot. Not just with women, but confidence with people in general.
