Success Story!

Last night I was out with friends and I cold approached two women sitting down at a table having drinks. This type of approach has always terrified me because it's 2 v. 1. However, I took the plunge and went for it.

Here's what I did: I approached and "kept it stupid simple."

I went up to their table, politely interrupted their conversation and I told them I saw them and wanted to introduce myself. I was only interested in one of the women but engaged with both for a couple of minutes, then I mentioned that my group was leaving and had to go, but I'd love to grab a drink with the girl I was interested in and asked her out. She said yes, I got her number and secured a date for this week. The interaction was at most 3-4 mins.

Moral of the story. Two mental notes help me with every approach I make: 1) Defining success based on the simple act of making the approach and 2) keeping it stupid simple in the encounter

I am new to approaching women. I started making approaches a few months ago and it still makes me nervous before I go up. However, what I've learned after doing about 30 cold approaches is that the scariest part is the moment before you make the approach and that the feeling after is incredible REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME. Even if you get rejected, it feels amazing knowing that I did something that requires courage and that most men will not do. For me, the worst feeling is seeing a woman I am attracted to and not making a move.

Thank you to this forum and everyone sharing their stories in this journey. Seeing everyone put themselves out there motivates me to continue doing the same.
