Kill the science/intellectual talk

Maybe thats just who you are and what you care about, and maybe you should align your demographic more with how you like to talk.

If you love talking about theoretical physics, and can't help yourself from talking about theoretical physics, then take it to a convention with like minded people instead of taking it to a club where you're going to be talking to club chicks who don't really have an interest in that.

And if thats not an option, make it relatable to your demographic. For instance, I took a history class recently where we had to write a paper on anything, as long as it related to the civil war. It was a capstone class, meaning people needed to take a class outside of their major, so you got a lot of non history kids taking it, in addition to some hard core history geeks. When the hard core history geeks presented topics about things like "The role of flour in the civil war" no one gave a shit, and no one asked anything. When someone presented something interesting like "female spies" or "the first snipers of the civil war" everyone listened and had a million questions because even the non history majors found it fascinating and gave a shit.

Thats a really long explanation, but essentially, most people might not give a shit about in depth talks about electrons, but if you talk about how Elon Musk's new hyperloop thing, people might actually be interested because they're more capable of relating to and understanding it.

Chicks dig passion anyway. The whole "be yourself thing" is pretty damn true. Most of the time when people talk about something they give a shit about its kind of exciting. As long as its somewhat relatable.

And if you really are trying to "break this habit", spend less time "drifting into those intellectual/philosophical talks.", let other people drift into them, because people love to feel important and listened to. And it takes some of the weight off of your shoulders.

Final note, just think about what would be fun to talk about.

This is usually caused by a failure to escalate and express sexual intent. Many guys get caught in conversation and do nothing to move the seduction forward. They feel like they are getting good feedback from the conversation alone, and try to keep that going. But you are trying to get laid, not trying to get a good conversation.
