I've been thinking about the game recently, reading (and writing) some of the answers on Seddit and I just realized something that I think I would have benefitted greatly from as a beginner. Currently I get some results, not dating coach level or anything, I don't even consider myself advanced yet but here goes.
The thing that most beginners don't realize is that if you keep at this for a while, you'll start to learn and get really good at this. Like, you'll start scared and afraid, not even able to make an approach, that fades quickly and soon you grasp some concepts and you can even point out some of your friends' mistakes. You gain confidence and an assured ness of what works, what doesn't and what to do in most situations.
The thing is that as a beginner you don't really appreciate the process and nuances of the game, and thats okay. You start off thinking its magic, and how did he do that? Making mistakes, some even big. But one day you will, you'll get Aha moments thinking about your sets/situations you've been in, you'll find faults in material that you once thought was your magic bullet, you'll see that some dating coaches don't even know what they're doing.
You'll find out what you value in a woman, what you value in the friends you keep and so on. Game is often about discovering yourself and most people aren't even on the journey. You'll realise that girls you once put on a pedestal are just people. Like some women are boring, others manipulative and you'll realise that while some guys have game, they're broken inside and not the ideal that you want for yourself.
That feeling of confidence, of dare I say, mastery is the best feeling in the world. You'll think back to approaches where the girl was just mean, and it wasn't your fault. You'll think of people less as high value or low value and appreciate them more. You'll realise that there's no "level" to get to, because even "Advanced" guys still have a way to go.
You'll read the pickup material less and less, because you understand it. And realize that it was never about the material itself but how and when it's used. You'll even develop an arrogance when you see beginners make the same mistakes you used to. That stuff is basic, you'll think. How can anyone make that mistake.
This is the true promise of the game, but you can only learn these things if you put in effort now. You'll get into situations where the girl is gorgeous, yes, but you can't handle dealing with another chick right now. You're too busy with other chicks or she seems a little crazy.
And it's funny because it's not as much work as you would think right now. Like you don't need every new product that every dating coach has put out or will put out. And even when you're there, you still have so much to learn about game.
That feeling money can't buy. That's what I'm after. I'm not there yet, but damn if I don't get there.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
