Greetings, Gentlemen (and ladies) of Seddit.
If you're new here and you're still learning the basics of seduction, dating, and game, this post isn't for you. This post is addressed to the guys in my position. This is addressed to those of us who have already achieved some level of confidence and can handle ourselves when it comes to meeting and dating women. I want to talk about what happens next.
Many of us have spent some time on seddit, read "Models" and "The Game", and gone on a few dates. I've been working on improving myself in these areas for a few years now and it's really paid off. I am comfortable with myself, I am enjoying my life, and I have many friends both male and female. I am comfortable talking to new women and taking them out and having a blast. Hopefully you're in a similar position if you're still reading this. I want to talk about what happens next by sharing my ideas and welcoming yours.
What happens after we get the girl?
As I mentioned above, I'm confident in my abilities to meet and date women. Hopefully you are as well. Many of us, however, spend much more time cycling through the meet-date-repeat phase with different women than we do moving into a more serious relationship. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, and if you enjoy that and don't want more of a commitment, that's fine. This post is addressing those of us who are looking for more serious relationships, romance, and commitments.
How do we transition from "dating" to a real, serious relationship? Many people simply add the boyfriend/girlfriend tag or the "in a relationship" label on facebook and continue acting as they did during the first few weeks/months. Most of these "relationships" also don't last very long. A real relationship, whether headed towards marriage or not, takes a bit more commitment and is often (and hopefully) more challenging yet rewarding than the initial "dating" phase.
In my humble opinion, a real relationship between two people should be based around real love and compassion, which sometimes involves making sacrifices for the good of the relationship/significant other. I don't believe that love is a "feeling" or just attraction, despite the message relayed by almost every single movie and song. I think real love is truly and genuinely caring about the best interests of another. The "rom-com" idea of love is essentially nothing more than the warm, fuzzy feelings of attraction. Those feelings are great, but they're not love. Love should continue even on the bad days when those feelings may not be present. People in a long-lasting relationship simply aren't going to be full of the "warm fuzzies" and passionate attraction every day. There will be fights, disagreements, and bad mood days. If your definition of love is the feelings of attraction and passion, then you technically don't love your SO on the bad days. Real love continues on through the hard times and comes out stronger on the other side. Real love makes sacrifices for the other person even if it means inconvenience to the self. Real love knows how to handle criticism. A relationship based off real love will exist for the constant improvement of both parties who challenge each other to always become better versions of themselves. Real love doesn't disappear if you come home angry or find your SO in a bad mood. Real love brings not only the rewards of great romance and sex, but also the truest feelings of companionship and trust.
I don't pretend to be a "guru" on the subject by any means. I'm just sharing some ideas on what happens beyond the attraction, seduction, and dating phase that seddit loves to focus on. If you disagree or have something to change or add, please comment or ask questions and I'll be happy to discuss it. I want to hear your ideas when it comes to long-term relationships, love, and deep connections that come with commitment. I'd love to hear your ideas on how relationships work, how to go from "dating" to a serious relationships, what that means, etc. If you hated this post and everything about it, feel free to let me know. Hopefully it gave you something to think about at least, and if that is the case, please chime in!
