I've been reading up on shit tests in this subreddit and attempting to notice them when talking to girls. Anything verbal (questions/conversations) are pretty straightforward; things get a bit more blurry with physical stuff. Where are guys supposed to draw the line?

The classic purse carrying is discussed quite a bit, no problems there--she will survive without me holding her purse. Holding a door seems pretty similar, she has arms, she can handle it.

How about carrying heavy shit on a dorm move-in day for some tiny girl who legit can't carry it?

Another one that came up last night at a party. A girl was hanging out with me until all her friends left, and she wanted me to walk her home. The burgeoning alpha within me recognized this as a possible shit test, but at the same time we've had a few sexual assaults on campus already this year and the only reason she was separated from her friends the first place was because of me. Ended up going with a playful: "[sigh].. this is turning into a full-time job" and walking her home. I knew her roommate would be there and there would be no chance for further progression.

So whats the verdict on walking girls home? Definitely seems like a bitch move but on the other hand if a girl got assaulted because of me I'd never be able to live with it.

Is there any kind of general rule for being alpha without being an asshole in this kind of situation?
