Personally I feel handshakes have a very man-man undertone. Like arms on the shoulder. I generally don't shake hands with women I want to build attraction with, and do it to signal platonic boundaries. A slight variation is to kind of grab their hand with your two fingers and thumb a bit, think the French 'enchante' thing, its a bit European and situational however.

To go beyond the scope of your question here.

I think you are starting from the wrong foot here. What you are doing is, trying to analyse her intentions whether she likes you and then thereby determine your moves. Where as the start is usually very much about being unilateral, demonstrating the vibe YOU want to establish with a woman and influencing her to adopt it. Just think, you must have at some point met a girl who you didnt notice and felt borderline about, but because she liked you so intensely and obviously it made you like her. The execution is different but fundamentally you are trying to do the same thing.
