So I've been very successful in getting phone numbers and approaching lately. HOWEVER, I still fail to make the connection during my pick up. The farthest I usually go is some small talk (where you from, what do you study, name, where you live, etc). Then I get the phone number and I'm on my way. Usually when I go to text girls where I pick up with small talk, we usually don't go farther than a few texts. I try to text and set up the date within the first few texts, but once I actually go to set up the date, girls usually stop replying. I don't think it is because they don't find me attractive or aren't interested, but more because I didn't get to make a better connection or effort to know them better when I approached them. They probably feel like they don't know me enough to go out on a date with me, or feel like I just hit them up more for quick sex over getting to know them. This was my issue last semester, and I feel I've missed out on some opportunities because of it. Sometimes I simply don't have time to establish a connection, or sometimes the girl I approach can be in a rush to get to their destination. Any tips on stuff I can say to make a connection? Of the 5 numbers I got recently, only 1 was receptive (and I actually had a previous connection with her; only reason she was).
