It doesn't matter how confident you are and how many approaches you do if you can't even grasp personal hygiene or basic style.

(Mini FR) I work in the nightlife industry and last week I watched a guy wearing a fedora (not joking) with a poorly fitting polo, greasy pony tail and cargo shorts with sneakers start trying to do a routine on a cute bottle service girl we had. He was extremely confident and despite this she still came to vent to me about this incredibly uncomfortable experience, and she and I proceeded to roast him after he left. This story made it around to everyone at this club - as a result all the girls working in this club are now unavailable to him in his current state if he were to return, regardless of approach style.

Moral of the story is that girls talk - and you need to be on your game (confidence AND appearance) or they'll talk, and laugh, about you. As I've said in other posts long ago, every girl is the center of her own social web and you hurt the entire web with bad approach and you'll never know the damage inflicted because it's invisible to you.

If you need style advice for different areas literally just observe what other people wear. You're at a boat club obviously everyone's wearing polos and boat shoes, club obviously everyone's wearing dress shirts and dress pants unless they don't care then it's a dress shirt and jeans. Grocery store everyone's in a T shirt weather depending. Simple stuff
