I e-mail closed a girl after a great 1 hour conversation; she e-mailed me a few days later and poured on the IOIs. I asked her to coffee, she couldn't make it the day I suggested (seemingly legit reason), and proposed another day. I guess I was too playful in my reply -- somehow she took it badly and cancelled. Damn.

Lesson learned: Until you're solidly calibrated, keep phone/text/e-mail as brief as possible. From now on, it's retarded caveman 3-word answers from me. Give her absolutely nothing to misinterpret, under any possible female insecurity/bad past experience. Say the bare minimum to get another IRL meeting ASAP.
