Hi, I've subscribed to this subreddit about 3 weeks ago to figure out more about the technique about seduction.

Perhaps a little background about myself. I'm a college student at one of the most prominent party schools in the US, who the fates decided to land in a crackhouse for approximately 4 months (September to Late January, quite a fantastic story actually). While I escaped unscatched and unaddicted to any substance, living in such a house benefited me in a way that I began to enjoy social settings with random strangers. So there I was, a 20 year old Asian who hardly cared for going out and normally kept earbuds jammed inside his head to someone who craved striking up random conversations with strangers.

But returning to my original point, the majority of the everything that I've read, listened, or watched that this subreddit has shown me points out the i. But what I'm struggling with understanding is the aftermath of what occurs after the technique has been mastered, not implying that I'm even remotely decent at it, though I've been working at it.

Another backstory. Back from the crackhouse, my roommate f-closed a random girl in his room when I wasn't there. Supposedly, he had picked her up the night before at a house party and boned her. After a night of drinking, I came back around 3AM and found them in bed together, was like 'oh good for him' and passed out on my bed. What happened next was probably the biggest shitfest I'd ever witnessed. I woke up at ten in morning to screaming and fighting. Eyes snapping open, I found the girl beating the guy screaming obscenities, sobbing and yelling phrases like 'How could you take advantage of me like that'. Meanwhile, my roommate's giving me this look that screams 'What the fuck is going on? Get this random bitch out of here'. He probably could've manhandled her, being at least 6'3 while she was probably a foot shorter, but considering the ruckus she was causing. Meanwhile, I'm just sitting there in my still slightly hungover state and can't do anything more than just stare and be like 'What the fuck?'. Eventually at some point the girl storms off and I'm sitting there trying to pretend nothing happened, though my opinion of my roommate significantly drops as a result. (Mind you, this is about 2 months before I discovered this subreddit)

So that leads to a couple of questions that I've been pondering about after having spent some time on this reddit.

1) How do you ensure that the game doesn't corrupt you, and are you certain that you can quit the game easily if you find someone worth settling down for?

2) How can you play the game for so long without finding someone that you'd be interested in initiating a conventional relationship with? In the case of the audio clip posted by /u/whatwasigonnasay , which is an excellent Field Report, I must add, I find it hard to believe that such a suave person could have played the game for 1.5 years (In his words) without finding someone he would've wanted to date exclusively for a period of time.

3) Is being 'the manwhore/scumbag/bastard' that some girls mention in conversations inevitable as a result of being good at seduction. Example, I was talking to these two girls, and one of them mentioned about how a guy who she'd barely met was trying to get into her pants by saying things like 'Do you feel that? I think we have a real connection here. There could be something here'. God forbid I ever become that person.

4) What happens to all of these girls that you end. A popular motto on this thread is 'Just go for the approach, because if something doesn't work out, there's another girl around the corner.' While I agree with the concept, what's the fate of the girls that end up being closed in various ways? Do they end up was FWB's, friends, gf's, or simply tossed aside once you're done with them? I don't know, perhaps I'm rambling, but I prefer to constantly keep in touch with people I find interesting that I like.

Wrap-Up. I understand that the overall goal of this subreddit is to improve yourself as a person and become a more likable person, something that I agree with, yet I'm just cautious at the possibility of becoming someone that I inherently disagree with. I may have more questions that I may end up tacking onto this later that I haven't thought up of yet.

SideThread

Sadly, I'm suffer highly from AA when it comes to talking to anyone that I can't find anything in common with, though I thoroughly enjoy picking their brains. 10/10 or 5/10 girl doing chalk drawings on the sidewalk? It's super easy for me to stoop down next to her and strike up a conversation regarding the drawings and her purpose with them. 9/10 or 3/10 girl standing around doing nothing? Can't think of a single thing to say. Same thing goes for guys. I need some sort of focal point to bring up before I can start a conversation, though I'm can carry them in a friendly fashion once I get the start up. Unfortunately, I also fail at performing the light flirtatious tease, as I'm naturally a pretty offensive person when it comes to jokes, regardless of the audience. Example:

Black guy: "You're Chinese right? Does that mean you're Buddhist?" Me: "Yeah, I'm Chinese, and what about it?" Black guy: "Are you going to be a monk, cause it's in your culture?" Me (Without skipping a beat): "Are you gonna be a slave, cause it's in your culture?" Girl: OH SNAP (laughs)

I really don't know where I'm heading with on this side-thread sooo I'm just going to end it here. THANKS FOR READING ALL OF THIS.
