New girl shows up at school. Very attractive and smart, she immediately pulls in the attention of all sorts of guys. Using what I've learned and practiced from this subreddit, I took things slowly and made myself interesting. Pretty soon I had her confessing her feelings for me. She baked me things, bought me coffee, we went on dates, etc. We weren't officially dating (seniors in high school) yet because her mother wanted her to wait after a pretty dramatic home-life event. I was cool with that. Here was my error. With both of us knowing that we were on the fast track to dating, I started to go "boyfriend mode" before I was actually the boyfriend. I lost my alpha! Long story shorter, things were going well from my eyes. Then I was shoveled into the friendzone as she suddenly turned to the next guy. I looked back and realized she has a pattern of leading-on. Anyway I went home that night, re-activated my alpha, and now I'm back in the game. The moral of the story is this: don't lose your touch even if she's almost yours. Stay the interesting, alpha man that she fell for in the first place. Be outcome independent.
TLDR: went boyfriend mode before I was actually the boyfriend and lost her. Stay alpha.
