BACKGROUND. I just graduated high school and I'm going to my first year of university in 1 month. I have been following the major Youtube channels and podcasts of major pickup companies i.e. RSD, 4 week natural, Honest Signalz. It has been about 8 months since I discovered pickup and the fact that I can actually get better at meeting women. I live in a small town in Northern Canada with a population of roughly 20,000, I immigrated with my parents from India at the ripe age of 8. I will be moving to a larger town for university, Victoria BC (UVic). I had been pumping myself up to go out and approach because I was tired of not taking action and just indulging in mind-masturbation by watching endless infield videos. I knew that I didn't want to look back and regret wasting time, even though I kind of wasted those 8 months not taking action.
COLD APPROACH. I made a plan to go out and approach. I had to go to Walmart to get some bug spray, so I decided that I would do my FIRST cold approach when i was shopping. After I located the bug spray. I spent about 15-30 min just pretending to read the label and keeping an eye out for cute girls. After a while, I saw this really cute blond girl (late 20's) walk into an isle across from where I was standing. After trying to talk myself into it. I just started putting one foot in front of another. I was about to pass her isle when I spotted her. She was the only one in the isle. I turned back, awkwardly, and said, "excuse me, sorry to bother you". She looks up, then my speech kind of got stuck in my throat but i pushed through. "I think you're really cute". "What is your name?" She answered "My name is C...", Then I said, "I don't do this too often", She looks at her phone I continued "just a random compliment". Then I left.
The tingling feeling through my body lasted for 2 hours. As I walked away I realised how hard my heart was beating. I had a constant smile through the checkout and until I got home. My brain kind of started to get paranoid; what if I see her again? etc. but I forced myself to see the positive as well.
Pat on the back; I took Action solid eye contact (at least for a brief moment) I had her attention I smiled through the interaction(I think I did)
Lessons Learned; Be louder and speak with conviction; I realised how quiet I was talking later(I generally a quiet person, not shy but quiet) Talk majority of the time (initially), expect nothing back
