I have been approaching strangers (one set and two set) on the street for the last year and a half and I have managed to come a long way.
However, today, I decided to go bolder and go to a social of a particular society at uni. I went to where they went, and jesus I was scared but I managed to sit down with them, chat to a single guy even if girls were sitting in front of me, and then leave in 8 minutes.
It was my first ever approach that I ever did like this and I have to admit it scared the hell out of me. The experience was like holding a hot couldron: it hurt (to now by beating myself up) but not kill me.
However, I realised one thing, I have managed to push through my fear and did something very courages that I dont know anyone in my friends group who would do it.
Also it made me realise according to Jordan Peterson's argument where you look at risks of doing actions and not doing it, you are realising that you are screwed anyway.
But I am still trying to process this.
Do you think it was a good idea to leap frog from comfort zone once in a while or do you think it was dumb?
