I came to the realization last week that my game is shit and I need to change something. This came after I got a gorgeous blonde's number at a party. At the end of the night, she put her arm around me and said to call her. We went back and forth for a few days trying to make plans, but a few days later, didn't respond. The night I met her, I thought "Damn, this will be easy. If I blow this, I'm actually retarded." Well, I actually did blow it.

Now I'm not posting this because of one experience. I don't usually get oneitis, so it doesn't really bother me. But this has been a reoccurring theme with me: I always get numbers and manage to fuck it up. I've noticed my text game has gotten considerably worse since I've started browsing seddit. It seems like I'm always overthinking everything instead of it coming naturally. I tell myself "Just keep the texts short. Set up a meeting, then stop." That leads to me being too abrupt and usually doesn't end in a date.

Outside of getting numbers and never going anywhere with them, I can't seem to find balance. By balance, I mean how direct I should/shouldn't be. I've been a classic nice guy for a long time, but I've tried to shake it by being more direct. All it results in is me coming on too strong and fucking things up. I understand that the "game" is all about finding a balance, but I have such a hard time finding it.

All of this really frustrates me, because all I need is the tiniest bit of game to pull tail. Not to sound like a douche, but I know I'm hot shit. I'm 6'6", a bit muscular, and have good facial features. I always have girls telling me how attractive I am, etc. Literally all I need to do is not fuck up to be pulling tail 24/7, but I can't seem to get out of my own way.

I know part of it is a confidence issue. My confidence comes and goes, but more often goes. I have every reason to be confident in myself. I make more than enough to support myself (I'm in college, but make more than the average person), am pretty good looking, I work out, eat right, etc. But I can't seem to touch the level of confidence that quite a few people have. No matter what, I always seem to care way too much what people think. Has anyone experienced similar issues? How did you overcome them?

Has anyone experienced similar problems? How did you overcome? Any other pointers/advice is appreciated and welcomed.
