I got a little inspired by a recently deleted thread, it was mostly about finding good advice when there is an overwhelming amount information. So I thought I'd share some info that helps me filter what I find useful from what I can discard.
1. Critical Thinking Who is giving the advice? Are they mostly talk and no action? Is the person all action but can't communicate their ideas? How applicable is it to you, and what can you add to it that will make whatever it is you are going to do come across as genuine?
When you ask a question, seeking advice, and there is a wave of commenters giving many different opinions and insights it can be a bit confusing. What I would do is ask myself which bit of info is most helpful to my situation. I appreciate the effort but ''No worries, there's plenty of fish in the sea brah. Peace'' would not be all that helpful to me, I'm sure he or she means well. A reference to a link of someone more experienced breaking down my particular sticking point would be helpful. It's mostly not that one link that will help me, I might find another thread or video more helpful. It's not the link you have, it's the link that leads you to the next link.
An old video by Mystery explaining his method might be out of place and out of date, but who knows what other links I might come across that will help me.
Checkout some videos on critical thinking on YouTube, nothing but good can come from it.
2. Digging Deep Finding what is useful for you personally does require a bit of digging. Most coaches and pro tip-givers share the basics on body language, eye contact, how to keep the convo going and so on. So finding a free e-book or an hour long seminar that will specifically treat your sticking point might take a while to find, so be prepared to do some digging.
I remember when I used to stay up nights, I was like a robot, reading and hunting for all sorts of books and knowledge on seduction (I can recommend a list). Books, audio seminars, online seminars, DVD's, live seminars, e-books, short guides, pamphlets, online blogs... you name it. But it was mostly information given in a general context, other than what could specifically help me.
Sometimes after hours of digging I would finally find that free download link of an e-book, read it (no pun intended), and find only a friggin' handful of tips that were useful to me. And I didn't even follow all of those guidelines, I had to mold them to suit me. But after you kiss a girl in the club and realise the info actually helped you're quite thankful you did the necessary digging to make it happen.
3. Getting Good Fast Hiring a coach beat all of the above for me, and I have learned from some of the best. Vince Kelvin, James Marshall, Yad, Tim Veninga and especially Matt Artisan just to name a few. They were the best because they were the coaches that had the knowledge that best suited my situation at the time.
So a coach can really help, it's pricey $ but if you trust him or her and follow their guidelines then the improvement achieved from the sessions will last quite long. You have to keep it up yourself though. Sooner rather than later you will find yourself strolling along the Vegas strip or Venice Beach talking to the most gorgeous women, without the training wheels of the coach, but still thanks to the coach.
How do you know if they are a good coach? Action! And results! I have to give a little praise to Matt Artisan, he is a good example of someone who knows his shit. Same goes for Tim Veninga (sorry most of his content is in Dutch though, I'm sure if you ask him nicely he will provide something in English.) But I've only had 1on1 coaching with Matt Artisan, check him out on YouTube as an example of what I mean by a damn good coach.
4. Don't Get Mad At Sedditers If someone doesn't know how to communicate their advice clearly or doesn't offer much constructive criticism thats alright. Thank them for the effort and continue searching. We all mean well here, some are bitter but ces't la vie. Thats the online world for you. Harsh at times, yet fruitful.
5. The Search Continues There is always going to be a shitload of advice that isn't meant for you, doesn't mean the right advice isn't out there. Maybe somebody just hasn't posted it yet, or you can submit a thread and ask questions (be clear) about your specific sticking point[s] and sure enough someone will reply.
The important thing is to not stop searching and keep an open mind (not so open your brains fall out). Hell I've been learning about seduction since 2009 and I'm always open to learn something new from anyone, Master PUA or Inexperienced AFC. Wether it's a good tip on what to do on Tinder or how to be more congruent when talking to women in the club, I'm always open to learn.
Just thought I'd share that :)
there doesn't seem to be anything here
