This is easy.

Don't call to confirm next time.

Remember, you have no idea what's going on on the other end of the line so you have no idea if it'd be a good time for her to talk or not when you call.

Just text her with a reference to whatever you plan to do on the date with her.

Say something like, "Remember, wear something comfortable tomorrow."

She can get back to a text at her convenience so even if you sent the text at a time when she's preoccupied, it doesn't inconvenience her and it won't be ignored or forgotten because it won't register as a missed call which is very forgettable, it'll be in her inbox with whatever the hell you wanted to say anyway and she'll get back to it when she can actually focus on it.

What I really like saying, usually on the day of is, "Hey I'm gonna be 5 minutes late to see because I'm dealing with an emergency/gonna be at a meeting/seeing my mom/[whatever]. Is that alright?"

If she says, "Its fine" then you have her confirmation that she'll show up.

If she says, "Its ok. I can't make it anyway" or if she just doesn't text you that day then you know she isn't showing up.

And what you do is you never wait.

If she hasn't gotten back to you then structure your day with the assumption that she isn't gonna show up.

If she does show up and you're nowhere to be seen then that's on her because she wasn't responsible enough to confirm.

So this situation right now where she showed up and you were nowhere to be seen is her fuck up.

Moving forward just be like, "Oh well." And then move on with her.

Talk about new things, plan new dates and if you want to confirm you already have a better way of doing it.

But if she's always gonna be that irresponsible then you should move on.

Always remember that we try to put our best foot forward when we're out in the world.

We are much bigger assholes when we're at home and around the people we're used to being around at home.

That means what you're getting from this girl right now is her best foot forward.

But if she becomes your girlfriend and she can feel at home with you then you will see exactly how crappy of a human being she can be.

So if you think how she acted here was annoying, wait til you see what she's like when she no longer feels the need to keep up appearances.

Never ever sent a text to confirm. It subconciously shows that you don't deserve her! Also don't give her the chance to confirm. Set a definite date and don't text her anymore till the meetup!
