I'm a 20 year old guy who had his first kiss as a kid, only ever dated two girls (three dates total between the two) and even though I thought the dates went great, it never worked out. I've pretty much moved on from every rejection I've faced except for the first girl I dated. Its been more than a year now since we dated and she dropped contact with me, and almost a year since I talked to her the last time to ask her what happened.

She said she never felt a connection, was having fun with other guys during the time we talked and went out twice, and she started talking to her ex again which is why she decided to drop me. Now here I am still thinking about her from time to time when I think about dating. It still messes with my self esteem since I really thought I had a chance and it seemed like she was really into me. The other girl I dated a few months ago but I didn't really see her as someone I could see myself with but she stopped talking to me. Although, every girl I have talked to and dated, I at least thought they were having fun talking to me. I've grown out of my shell over the years and definitely not the awkward guy I was back in high school. I want to stop thinking about this girl just like the rest, I know its best that it ended since she couldn't be honest and I don't want a girl like that. I think its the fact that I was thinking I had a chance after all my rejections and being lead on before and it just crushed me so hard after being dropped. I'm working out, I wear clothes that fit and look good on me, have a good haircut and I've been told I am attractive so I'm good on those areas.

My problem is I don't know where to go to meet girls to do that. I still can't drink so bars and most clubs are out of the picture plus my friends don't really like to go out to public places or if we do they end being a local food place where not a lot of people go to. I live near busing distance of D.C. and Baltimore but its a pretty boring area where I live. My friends don't seem to have the kind of desire to visit D.C. or Baltimore so I'm kinda on my own if I do go to either place. I haven't been to D.C. in years or really go to Baltimore at all so I don't know my way around those places, even though I've lived in the same place most of my life, and going alone holds me back.

Anyone in these areas have any advice for me for where I could go to meet girls my age? I've tried online dating as well and that hasn't lead to really anything.

Tldr; Lots of rejections and being lead on in my life, still thinking about a girl I dated who I shouldn't think about and I want to change that, live near D.C. and Baltimore, I don't know the areas though, but not sure where to go to meet girls. Would like some advice.
