Hey guys,

I may be to invested into my dating situations and def need more options but I still need your help if I’m standing in my own way and overthink a little bit too much.

Here is the situation:

I met this girl at a party, she is quite young (19 years old), she is really gorgeous and at this party we made out with each other.

This was 3 weeks ago on Sunday. We all were quite drunk and I lost my jacket with my wallet, keys and gloves in it.

Interestingly, I found out the next day that the girl I was making out with had taken my things home with her. For whatever reason.

She then followed me on Instagram and wrote to me that she had my stuff.
She offered to bring them to my house, which she did. We just had a quick chat and then I went back inside.

As I find her quite attractive, I thanked her again later for bringing my things and told her I would like to return the favor of her bringing me my stuff.

I texted her that we could go for a drink together sometime.

We met up almost a week later and went to a bar. I picked her up and was already extremely nervous beforehand, but as soon as she was in his car and we started talking, my nervousness was blown away.

From my point of view, the date was really good, we actually got on very well overall.

I noticed the following things:

-She gave me a lot of compliments on various things
-She really liked the way I dress and she said that she doesn't like men her age (19-20) that much.
-She told me that she talked to a lot of people about it before the date which actually means to me that it was very important to her but I don't know if I'm right.
-Personally, I think she laughed a lot, which was also a positive sign
-I also tried to break the barrier of contact and used one situation or another to make this happen, which was also positive in itself.
-I talked to her about my passion for men's clothing and its production and what I want to achieve with it and I really had the feeling that she understood what I mean.

At the end of the date, I drove her home and we listened to some music together on the way home and of course continued talking.

At the end, just before she got out of the car, I kissed her in the classic way with a pause in between and then again and then said: “I just had to do that.”

She then got out and said something like: “Have a safe journey home” or something like that.

I felt really good afterwards. I was proud because I rarely go out of myself like that.

When I got home, I noticed that she still had my leather gloves in her handbag because I had asked her to put them in when we were on the date.

But as I didn't want to be pushy or needy, I didn't write to her and just wanted to wait and see if she contacted me again and gauge her interest level.

When another day passed after the date and I woke up in the morning, I received a message from her, which of course made me feel good, because I thought it meant she was interested. But I think she would have contacted me anyway, whether she was interested or not, because she still had my leather gloves.

She sent me a picture of the gloves with the message: “Missing something” and then a laughing smiley.

I replied to her after about 15 hours because I had been out all day.

I wanted to make the whole thing a bit funny and wrote:

“Oh no, unfortunately we have to see each other again now ;)”

“Can't be a coincidence, you've stolen from me again”

After that, there was no reply for over 24 hours. I slowly began to overanalyze everything and thought I fucked up. I know its not good, but that’s always been a part of me.

I thought: “Shit, maybe my message came across as stupid or maybe she thinks I forgot the gloves on purpose so that I can see her again”

Then her message came:

“Well, well, we have no other choice then”

“Yes, maybe I should think about whether I have cleptomania”

At first I was relieved because that sounded positive to me and she didn't mind seeing me again.

But somehow I still had a bad gut feeling.

After about another 20 hours, I answered her as follows:
“Next Saturday around 6-7pm?”

She quickly simply replied: “I'm actually meeting a friend of mine that day”

I started to have a bad gut feeling again, I always feel like if I have a bad gut feeling it becomes true.

Why hasn't she suggested an alternative day if she would really be interested in seeing me again?

Then I googled and everybody was mentioning, if a girl is not suggesting an alternative its her friendly way of saying that she is not interested.

I answered: “the rest of the week is already completely planned for me”
“but the following weekend should be fine” (This is in around 8 days.)

She answered after quite some time or like a whole day:"Okidoki"

I really dont know where I'm at with her and if she really is interested in me.

But then I think why kiss me at the end of the date?

And before you say it, yes I know I have some issues with overthinking and that I need options but its just not the case at the moment and I’m working on my problems with not feeling valuable and needing external validation because of childhood trauma in therapy.

I was thinking the following:

I will give it some time and reengage her at the beginning of next week and try to schedule for either Saturday or Friday and if she declines or so, I know that she is not interested.

Let me know what you guys think and sry for the long text.

Thanks in advance.

TL;DR:
Met a 19-year-old at a party, hit it off, and had a great first date where she seemed interested (compliments, laughs, and a kiss). She later texted about forgotten gloves, but her delayed replies and lack of effort to plan a second date have me overthinking her interest. I plan to re-engage next week to setup a the second date.
