Need some advice

not sure if this helps, but first imagine the interaction going well in your head. dont imagine any specific phrases or sentences you plan to say, that will make it seem forced, but just imagine yourself walking up to her and comfortably talking and her smiling back at you for a while. then just go for it. dont think of it as "im gonna get myself a date with her" just talk. im not sure where you're from but where im from people in public fall into 2 categories: those who keep to themselves, and those who will randonly just begin conversations with whoever happens to be around at the time, just to be friendly. i just try to be the second one, i obviously focus on talking to girls, but i just try say as much as possible to anystranger i randomly see. if they are extremely introverted they will be annoyed that you approached them, but they wont hold it against you seasonally, its just how they feel about interacting with strangers. If whoever it is is not an introvert, then you'll probably make their day. its nice when kind strangers just have a friendly conversation with you and dont expect anything out of it. the goal isnt getting the girls to date you, the goal is being social, and the rest will fall into place. dont force it, just chill and if you sense the opportunity is there to ask her for her number or whatever then go for it.

its also worth remembering you will probably never see these people ever again, and their opinion of you is irrelevant. worst case scenario (if you just relax and aren't genuinely creepy or sexually aggressive) is that they'll remember you as the guy who tried to hit on you at the mall. for a while i thought girls that rejected me thought of me as some kind of serial child rapist, but that isnt how it works, they just aren't into you and thats fine. (this feeling came from just talking to girls with no intention of dating them in high school, i would sometimes be called a creep because im not that attractive)
