The brutal truth is that learning how to pickup girls can take years. Even if you’re tall, handsome, well groomed and dressed, when she looks into your eyes and doesn’t see absolute confidence staring back at her, your chances are slim.

Too many guys are feminine. They act like little girls instead of men. Women want to feel protected, and most guys getting into pickup are so terrified of something as simple as approaching, they give off the vibe that they want the women to protect them. This may be unconscious, but it’s a problem.

In fast-game cold-approach, the deciding factor is usually how impressive you are in the first five minutes. Most of your years of practice will come to being impressive in this timeframe. (Unless you want to do something great, like star in a movie, or write a best seller. Then game won’t matter.)

Women are nurturing. They can read body language better than you ever will. When you focus your initial energies on learning ‘what to say’ -- you waste your time. A newbies best bet is to spend as much time as he can on his first impression: His body language, grooming and style and vocal tonality.

Practice your body language. Standing straight, with an imaginary string from your feet to head. Pull it tight. Shoulders up, back and down. Unless you have the style of James Dean, slouching rarely looks cool. Get your eye contact straight. You need to look a woman straight in the eyes while you talk to her. Learn to be physical early on.

Buy some cool clothes, cut your nose hairs and get a decent haircut. This is so simple, but so many guys in the pickup community look like nerds. I’d say about eighty percent. And it’s such an easy fix. I know you’re not comfortable wearing tight jeans, and you think your vertically striped dress shirt looks sharp, and your running shoes are really comfortable…but you look like a geek. Get yourself to a decent clothing store and ask for help. Let someone else dress you. And cut your nose hair.

Speak up. We can’t hear you. A quiet man is a man lacking in confidence. That’s it. The louder the better. Even if you’re practicing day game, if she ever, ever has to say, “What?” then it’s game over. With very hot girls in cold approach pickup, your margin for error is slim.

The girl wants to go home and say, “I met this guy today, he was soo confident/funny/cool!” And they do say this. Because if you’re not, “Hot,” they’ll need something else to tell their friends. It’s not that hard.

The, ‘what to say,’ part is part of that confidence. The basics are all there. I would suggest reading something like Double your Dating…especially if you’re a young guy that’s only ever digested RSD. Then watch RSD Foundations. Too many guys go straight to The Blueprint and get lost in an inner game circle jerk. I loved The Blueprint too, but I’d already approached a thousand sets by the time I saw it. Verbal game for many is the most difficult part of game to develop. Many think approaching is hard, but it’s not. Either you grow a pair and approach, or go home and masturbate. It’s simple. But learning how to be funny, witty and charming can take years, or a little natural talent.
