I know I am old thinking but texting should only be used for meet ups and quick exchange of information that helps with the meetup. Everything else just distracts from that goal.

Depends, I would adjust to what she responds to, there should be at least some light heartedness in between the more serious topics, the latter are more optional. If she joins into the banter keep that going. If she starts replying late or not very interested do less and/or change the vibe you're texting with.

I disagree with texting only for logistics, that may have been true in the days of SMS but in my experience and in my intuition if you have these rigid views about not texting you just appear disinterested. You don't have to text her all the time but not texting for extended stretches of time before you've seen her a couple of times is asking for flaking imho.
