I went to NY for NYE for the first time this year with my brother and his GF. While waiting I ended up losing them in the crowd and so I was there by myself in a group of people. There happen to be a beautiful girl that was behind me the whole time as we waited and I basically said “Screw it” and started a conversation with her. We talked about where we were from, made jokes and everything was going smooth. My brother and his GF eventually got in but they closed the street off right when we were about to go in as well. I asked her if she wanted to group up for the next entrance and she said Yes. We hustled over there and had to wait some more, as we were talking my brother called me saying they were going to leave to a bar or something because of the rain. Before I could hang up I guess she heard my convo and said “Aw you’re leaving?.” I told her yes but we were going to be at a bar possibly watching it all and she said “I would go to a bar but I’m 20 so I can’t get in.” I thought about staying but I decided I better go find my brother. I told her it was great meeting her and we exchanged social media (I didn’t ask for her number because I wasn’t so sure she’d give it to a stranger). I felt good though about my cold approach because the conversation was great and we honestly clicked. She was stunning and I can’t believe I just cold approached her like that and made it work because I normally do not approach beautiful women like that unless I somewhat know them. It wasn’t the best but I’m very proud of my progress from someone who wouldn’t even think to do that and I will definitely be taking this confidence with me back home. I wanted to share my story because this subreddit has taught me a lot of thing that made myself feel confident enough to cold approach. Beautiful women are just people and it took me a long time to realize that. Any comments and tips are appreciated!

TL;DR: Cold Approached a random beautiful girl on NYE in a different state. bonded and got her social media thanks to this subreddit!
