No. No. NO. If you're just "practicing" your game via OkCupid, you aren't doing it right. You read "The Game", right? Then why the hell are you doing this beta safe zone initiation shit? It's not a progressive thing where you start behind a curtain on the internet, then move up to texts, and then move up to real people in person.

A fundamental thing about the game is about your security in you, and your confidence. You can't progressively get up there by doing shit on the internet. If you really want to game, you HAVE TO go out and fuck up 100 times face-to-face with a bunch of random people. Trying to do it over the internet is not only an easy way, it's an ineffective way. The whole point of the game is that you go out and challenge yourself in uncomfortable situations until you learn how to be comfortable around them -- then ultimately yourself. You can't do that over email. You're missing the whole fucking point.

That's just really awkward in my opinion. It's way too long. If you're going to tease a girl about something in a first message, make sure it's just a short thing. She obviously was not happy about that message, judging by the extremely sarcastic reply you got.

All I do when sending out a first message is reference something from their profile and ask a question stemming off from that. It's not rocket science.

I wrote a lot and accidentally deleted it. Fuck me.
In short: Pic+Profile is absolutely core. The message is to hook them into looking at profile.
You need pics of you having fun with other people, without focusing on camera. As opposed to sitting alone in a dark rooming trying to smile and look good for the camera. The profile text should leave her thinking "interesting, I wanna know more" as opposed to "ok now I know who this guy is".

I like 1st part of the message. It's funny to you and it shines through. 2nd part has an underlying message of "I need you to react postively. Im a nice guy." that sucks ass, and Im guessing that's why she reacts negatively. Just own your jokey 1st part and leave 2nd part out. Put something different like why you stumbled on her profile, because of the funny/cute/whatever picture, or reference to profile. In a cockyfunny way.

The only way you're going to grow is by putting yourself out there, making yourself vulnerable, and doing things you're afraid to do. Online dating is the coward's way out. It's fine to use it as a supplement to approaching, but it shouldn't be the foundation of your game.

I suppose the answer in your question lies within the success of your messaging, that one was hilarious, especially the handsome part. She answered back...so yeah seems like its working so far, if it was too awkward or douchey I doubt she would respond, right? Also, the sites are awesome for gauging responses, I've thrown some gold and some coal around and the only way to know is to experiment.

Protip : Put up pictures of yourself on a dating site...that's like, the first thing.

You are wasting your time on OKC if you don't have a photo. You do realize your odds drop seriously close to zero no matter how creative and witty you are.

Man, it like almost irks me how bad you wasted that opener. Write something like you did followed by a comment about a goofy photo you have and the interaction would have been completely different and the girl probably wouldn't have come off as lame at all.
