So, the problem is that I have ADHD and occasionally battle depressive episodes (most probably caused by the ADHD).
I would like to be confident in my abilities and myself, but how can I be, rationally speaking, confident if I can't rely on myself? I can never tell if I'm gonna be able to accomplish tasks that I need to do, for example. I can never rely on my ability to socialize because the ADHD brainfog makes it hard to hold conversations at times.
Let's take today, for example. I've been trying to run my own business since last year, I'm 20 years old now. 10 minutes ago, my phone rang and one of the interns at my partner company asked me if I had any work for him to do and what he's supposed to do now.
I was awe-struck. "HOLY SHIT, what the f*ck, they're thinking that I'm in a leading position.. well.. hold on.. crap.. I AM.. I can't even remember to take my key with me every morning and I've been procrastinating on a overdue project for 4 weeks now".
This obviously isn't limited to work. I don't even bother to talk to girls (like the redhead cutie who always jogs by my office building in the morning) because I feel like a total failure and rationally observed I probably am. I can't even bother to take care of myself properly and do the work that I really need to do.
