If you don't know how to communicate openly with all of them you aren't ready for a polyamorous relationship. Don't fuck the people you live with. Don't fuck people you do business with. Sorry to kill your dream but its in your best interest.

Love this one! One of the best tips I ever learned in pickup. I also have a.... LEVEL 2. For Advanced pickup artists only!! Instead of commenting on something outside yourself, comment on something internal. Comment on your current emotional state. How are you feeling right there in that moment. Anxious? Sad? Excited? Horny? Express that. This allows the girl to see you. And seeing each other is where connection starts. It also requires a fuckton of vulnerability. Use when you are ready.

If you can't stand in a bar by yourself you should be in counseling for social anxiety disorder doing exposure therapy, not chasing women. I say this as someone who had social anxiety disorder.

Heh, I don't approach women at all. Not really. I talk to women I'm attracted to and build connection with them, but I don't "approach" in the way pick up uses the term. Used to, a lot. Not anymore. I do have opinions on this and I want to you to know what I'm saying is in service of helping you work on your self (and because you asked). I judge your need to chase after women as a need for validation. I'm imaginging that you feel if women aren't sleeping with you aren't _____ enough. Not sexy en…

I like your opener. Honest and direct. So the thing with being honest and direct is that if you stop being honest and direct, you show a lack of integrity. The next step is to express whatever you are feeling in that moment. I can't give an example because it totally depends on the tonality what he said (is he being playful or is he telling you to fuck off?). This is hitting on something that I don't like in pickup nowadays. The idea of "maintaining frame". Yes, you want to communicate a masculi…

The reason I ask is because if you can locate the specific need, you will then be able to ask for that thing. All a girlfriend is, technically, is an agreement not to sleep with other people. That doesn't seem to me like what your primary need is here. Is it intimacy? do you want a life partner? emotional support? regular sex? a partner in crime? These are all things that you can have without a committed relationship. But to have them you must to know what your core want is. Also, figure out wha…

Austin, TX. Easier. So. many. hot girls. On the flipside there is a much bigger pressure to be in swim-suit shape since its sunny and warm like 10 months out of the year. When I was in ohio it was easier to draw as an out-of-shape guy. Logistics is the actual where are you going to sleep with this girl? Do you have a nice place that's clean? How far away from the place you meet the girl are you? How are you going to get from that place to your place? It's way easier to get girls back to your pla…

It's a feeling, a literal energy made from testosterone. The best I can describe it is "I need something, so I'm going to get it". I like telling this story: One time I was eating some ribs. Really great ribs from the BBQ food truck across the street from my apartment. I started eating them mindfully, fully aware that this was an animal, something that had lived and died. Its possible that it suffered a lot during its life so I could eat tasty bbq. I was also mindful that my body was exhausted f…

I use the same approach for every situation. "Hi everybody, I'm ___ . I want to meet ya'll because ___." If I have no interests in talking to the group and only want to talk to a single girl, I ask her directly if she would like to talk with me. Genuine and direct. I'm curious what the motivation behind your question is. What is different to you about an approach when there is another masculine member in the group? Do you see the man as competition?

Ha, I'm no pickup guru. I'm just a happy guy trying to spread happiness. There's far more to life than sex. In fact the biggest lesson I learned from my years in pickup is that trying to get laid only ends in suffering. It all works better if you just take what life gives you. Case in point, my love. We'll call her Micky (Not her real name of course, just my nickname for her). Warned this is long, you asked for it. ;D For my birthday a few months ago I went to do Karaoke at my favorite Karaoke b…

That's how I met my current lover. Why would I be in this forum giving advice if I hadn't? If you like, I can give you a detailed rundown of my four years in pickup. Every girl, every approach. My whole story. None of it will help you be happy though. That comes from understanding your self.
/r/seduction31/10/15 03:31 AM

90% of human communication is non-verbal. Seems to me you're afraid if you be yourself, girls won't like you and you won't get laid. What would it mean to you if you didn't get laid? Would that mean you weren't "Worth" much? If so, are you really sure that's reality? Or is that just what modern society has told you a "Man" is?
/r/seduction30/10/15 10:57 PM

It's not about worth at all. It's about compatibility. If she likes me and i like her we hang out, if she doesn't like me or I don't like her we move on. Besides, how the hell are you ever going to know if a girl actually likes you if you're pretending to be something you're not?
/r/seduction29/10/15 06:23 PM

1) Why wouldn't I tell people everything about me? I want to be their friend/lover. People need to know the real me in order to connect with me, yes? 2) You can just say "I'm gonna go" with no explanation. There's no reason to lie. 3) Why do you think that honesty is boring? Honesty is exciting. When you're authentic and you find someone who likes you for you, the conversations are never boring because you're both excited to be talking whatever it is you're talking about. But of course you have …
/r/seduction29/10/15 03:54 PM
2

I mean you can. But that won't work. You have to tie vulnerability with authenticity. Be in the moment and go where the conversation takes you. If you think of a way to share yourself, do so. That helps build connection. Just don't force it, it will only come off as needy and unattractive. You have to detach yourself form the outcome. Be totally in the moment.

Buddhism is a path to the truth of reality. The truth is the same, no matter if you come at it cosmologically, psychologically, or spiritually. To quote NDT, "We're all made of star stuff". To truly alleviate suffering, you must know your self. Knowing why he desires the things he desires is critical to his own happiness.
/r/seduction29/10/15 08:50 AM
3

So conversation works like this... You talk about topic X. You think of Y that relates to X and you talk about that. You think of Z that relates to Y and you talk about that. Ad infinitum. If you run out of things to say either a). Talk about something else that relates to X, Y, or Z (take a different conversation branch) or start an entirely new conversation. "Do you like this thing?" etc. The honesty/vulnerability thing you just... do it. I mean you don't start out with "My dad was really dist…

I went through three years of pickup and got laid all the time. Approached thousands of girls, read all the books, etc. It made me miserable. I had no female friends and I developed a complete lack of trust of the female gender. This is where pickup leads to. After figuring out who I am (and that I'm ok as I am) now I'm happy, I love myself and I have wonderful relationships with men and women who love me for me. I have sex too, but it's not something that controls my life. I'm here to help peop…

Get to what? Finding women who like the shit you like? Be vulnerable, be honest. Some women will like it, some won't. Only keep the ones around that like it.
/r/seduction29/10/15 08:36 AM

Craving is the root of suffering. I'm trying to help you be happy, not get laid. Take it or leave it.
/r/seduction29/10/15 08:35 AM

There's not anywhere near close to enough information in this post to tell you why. I'll say this: Don't change your self for women. Change your self for yourself.
/r/seduction29/10/15 03:44 AM

But most times i just ask if theyre from the area, what they do etc. Don't follow a script. You're boring them. Be vulnerable, talk about what you want to talk about. The goal should be to find women who like the shit you like.

I am trying to help. Let's put it this way. If you had all the affection you desired, you would not pursue these girls. Why would you? You have all you need. The beauty of existence is that you have all you need right here, right now and you always will, forever into infinity. You just need to be aware of it. In otherwords, have /r/mindfulness.
/r/seduction29/10/15 03:32 AM

Yeah it works. You will have to answer "Are you here by yourself?" constantly. That's ok. Just answer honestly with vulnerability.

No, it's not. Buuuut, I don't think you liked her all that much in the first place. Totally normal to lose interest in a girl who's "meh" to you.

Some of you may be so disillusioned that you can't tell the difference between lying to people and lying to yourself. The irony abounds. Why are you so desperate to get laid/have fun/gain attention that you have to lie and manipulate people? There's literally zero reason to lie to another person unless you want something from them. Why is your life so bad that you have to manipulate others to feel ok?

It's called a "Red Shirt Year". I've done it before. It's a nice mindset change. Honestly my bet it that you'll be happier when you stop focusing on women so much. They're great, but there's a lot more to life.

My question is why are you hanging out with someone that you don't have anything in common with?
/r/seduction28/10/15 06:10 AM

I think you can fall into a trap where you become tied to getting that response and start to over-exaggerate. Honestly, do you want to have to worry about your facial expressions all the time? That doesn't seem like fun. I'd rather just be mindful of the conversation at hand.

Relationships, Sex and Love are INDEPENDENT from one other. You can combine them into one thing, and you can have each one separate from the rest. The fear of "oneitis" is so fucking dumb. It's love you fools! You care for these women! Why are you so obsessed with getting your dick wet that you can't see that? Look at yourself. Depression is complete social isolation. The cure to depression is to make real, vulnerable connections with other human beings. If you have trouble doing this, I highly recommend trying /r/MDMA with a community you feel safe in and friends you trust. Small music festivals (<5,000 people preferably) are perfect for this. Exercise, learning, work, etc will give you a head rush, but until you actually make real connections with people the depression will return.

Being sexy has absolutely nothing to do with physical attractiveness. Sexuality is about being open and vulnerable with your body and letting the world know "Yes, I am a sexual object". You know that middle-aged balding fat hairy gay man that gets half naked at music festivals and dances around? Pure sexuality. Your issue is that you think you are ugly. It has nothing to do with your physical attractiveness. You are deluding yourself. Most important lesson of your life: You are ok as you. You do…

You are your best self. You always have been. Let go of the idea that you have to be something 'more', that you have to be your 'best' to be worthy of love. You are ok as you are. The issue is your fear of others seeing you as you are in the moment. Be vulnerable, be authentic. Know your fear inside and out and when it arises acknowledge and appreciate it, then act in spite of it.

Let's make something clear guys. You are allowed to be friends with women who are really hot and don't want to bang you. This is not an attack on your masculinity. Two parts here. First capitalism. You're right. You're just not making the connection that isolation is a result of consumerism because it's all cause and effect. As long as you treat sex this way you will never have deep emotional connections. The players aren't real because its a game to you. Once you get to really know these girls, what makes them tick, 'the game' changes into something else entirely. It becomes real and you realize you hate pretending. Sex is about physical intimacy. Relationships are about emotional intimacy. You can't use sex to get a relationship. Sex can be the spark, but unless you're able to share yourself and make a deep personal connection with another human, your relationships will flame out pretty quickly. Work on being vulnerable and sharing yourself. Especially those parts of you that you don't want to share.

Stop trying to join groups of friends. Honestly get rid of the entire idea of a "Social circle". Focus on knowing individual people, men and women. Know them deeply and intimately. Share your secrets with them. Be vulnerable Also, just meet more people. Meet as many as you can. It's just like girls because well... it's the same damn thing. Girls just adds sex. Both friends and girlfriends are about emotional vulnerability and intimacy. Of course, modern male society says that being emotionally v…

I do not like the fact that I have so much control over your emotions. Jesus if this ain't the heart of it all. There are two ways to take this and one leads to the dark side. Let's start there first: You now know that girls don't like it when they can control your emotions. They want to be with someone who is emotionally independent. Knowing you feel this way towards these girls you decide to shut down, be a stoic, never feel. This is the path to the dark side. You end up repressing you feeling…

my mom can expect a lot more flowers in the foreseeable future! Don't. You're craving attention. Next time you buy flowers you're just going to listen really closely for all the girls talking about you... and there probably won't be any. Not because of you, but just because thats how the universe works. Appreciate the attention when it is there, be grateful for it. Then, let it go. Do not go chasing it. You won't get that high again.

Many women are looking for the guy who they can let it all out with. It's a lot of fun when you become that guy. This is the catch. You actually have to be that guy. You can't fake it. It must be who you are. If you are not comfortable with your sexuality, she will not be comfortable with her sexuality. In order for her to let her fears go, you must let all your sexual fears go. Everyone you meet is willing to be vulnerable with you, you just have to be vulnerable first. Mates, work out your emo…

Personally, I just accept whatever girls come in and out of my life. I don't go searching for them. It's ok that girls you're randomly chatting with won't be around again. There are billions of other women on this planet for you to meet. I do that because its easier on my psyche to just accept what comes and not chase. You may want to try practicing conversation with people first. Conversations are like a tree. They start at one place (the trunk) and then they sprout all sorts of different branches. So you can start the NFL and end up talking about Politics (NFL > Redksins > D.C. > Politics) or Jessica Alba (NFL > Cowboys > Cowboys cheerleaders > Hot Chicks > Jessica Alba) or thousands of different things. You don't have to be the "best man in the world" and striving to be so is a dangerous, never ending journey. I think it's healthier to accept that we are flawed, accept those flaws, and then find the people who will love us not just in spite of, but because of those flaws. There's a big difference between "best" and "best match".

I've been there brother. I was obese, no social skills and could barely talk to women at all. But you can improve if you want to. You can not only have a girlfriend, but fantastic relationships with women in general. But you have to want to. I'm not a pro so I can't give you advice, but I can direct you to the best I've had. Read Mark Manson's "Models" to start. Its the best resource there is.

Sleeping with girls who have boyfriends does nothing other than validate yourself. Stop being so focused on getting laid. Start focusing on having great relationships with women. Trying to hook up with emotionally unavailable women never works out.

Read Daring Greatly by Brene Brown. All about how to grow emotional courage. I'd also recommend Mark Manson's models for a simillarly modeled approach that's centered on women, but Daring Greatly is a pre-req to Models.

I am always open and honest with the women in my life. I rarely walk up to women and say things like "I want to fuck you" because that is overt communication. That's not how women communicate. They communicate with emotions and sub-communication. When I approach a women I am clear with my intentions. She knows that I am there to get in her pants. I know she knows. There is no need to say so overtly. She respects this. You should examine why you believe why you can't be honest with women. If it's…

They are also of much higher risk to do crazy shit in the name of getting married / having children. Dread game only increases that risk. It works if you are an economically unviable mate (or much younger than they are), but if you have any kind of success it's very risky. You attract what you are. If you are manipulative, so will be your lovers.

Depends on what you mean by game. What there needs to be more of is how to establish a consistent, attractive frame. Pickup techniques/routines have no place in TRP. Edit: I also loathe talk like 'getting the upper hand'. That's the absolute worst mindset to have. If you play games with women, you will only attract women who play games. This will lead to disastrous relationships time and time again. If you are open and honest with yourself and your intentions, you will attract open and honest wo…

No. Post modernism is the idea that we can't know for certain what morals are right and wrong. Everything is subjective. It was a revolt against the black/white ideals of the modernist 50s (50s-ish) The word you are looking for is nihilist. What I am is a Buddhist. You're bundling all relationships into the same pile and that's a flawed idea. Male/Male and Male/Female friendships DO work on the same underlying principles. Male/Male and Male/Female sexual relationships DO work on the same basic underlying principles of attraction and seduction. Also, you also realize your "TL;DR: Don't be kind to women" is exactly why this sub gets a bad misogynist rap right? I get what you are saying dude but, cmon. Think before you type.

Hmm ok. It's is a jealous emotion? I know when I'm out with a lady friend I get jealous when guys hit on her. It's based in a fear that she will choose them over me. I either succumb to those feelings of emotion and become over protective (unattractive) or I decide that I am going to trust my lady friend and accept that yes, she could go home with the other guy. As long as you are emotionally healthy, you can share it right away. One of the great ironies about vulnerability is that women want to see it only if you are in control of it. Here's a fictional metric-fuck-ton amount of baggage: "My father was an alcoholic. He would come home drunk and beat my mother and me. Eh. I like big bootys. Ideally big booty / slim waist, but if forced to choose between big booty and tummy vs slim waist and no butt, I'll take the curvy chick any day. My mom was also obese, so what I find desirable is partly a Freudian reflection of that relationship. Edit: LIKE KIM KARDASHIAN DAYUM THAT GIRL GOT BOOTY.

Possibly. As far as I've understood it frame is how you act in a certain situation. Your frame around your boss is different than around your girlfriend. When you fail to "maintain" frame you act differently than normal. The idea that you have to act a certain way constantly around your girlfriend to maintain attraction instead just acting how you feel like acting is what I see as toxic in a long term relationship. Essentially, you can only keep up the act for so long before it wears you down. I…

No, real talk. Every man has shit he is going through. Problems he faces. Skeletons in his closet. Scars that still hurt. It takes a shit ton of courage to talk about this to anyone. Even more to tell someone like a gf who could reject you and lose her attraction to you because of it. Male shame is a very real problem in society that very few are willing to shine a light on because it is so drastically anti-masculine.

Why not? How do you earn something that is freely given? Being worthy of love is a decision you make yourself. You either decide that you are or you aren't. This doesn't mean someone has to show you love all the time, or that everyone will love you, or that you can demand love from someone. But when it is shown, you deserve it because you exist. I just... I don't see this as a healthy was of having relationships. I want deep relationships with my girlfriends and friends alike. That's not possible to do if I'm constantly maintaining frame and not letting myself be vulnerable around my friends and lovers. It doesn't build attraction, no, but women are just one part of life. Read the book "Daring Greatly" by Brene Brown. It's not RP, but it will help. Look, your problem is that you got into this relationship by not being yourself. Who you think you are and who your girlfriend thinks you are are two different things. This gap is causing your suffering. The way to solve this then is two fold. One, begin to open up to her. Help her understand who you really are. Don't overshare, don't unload everything on her all at once. But share some emotional vulnerability with her…

Because most men are too ashamed to talk about how much pain and suffering they deal with on a daily basis. They feel as if they let it out they will be seen as "Less than". Which, in the eyes of women, is true. One of the problems of modern masucilinty is that emotional resiliency is one of it's main sticking points. You're supposed to have control of your emotions. You're supposed to be strong emotionally, not just physically. Everyone suffers. It takes true courage to tell others you are.

No, this video is pointing to a very real issue in today's world of male shame. I think there's a balance. You still have to prioritize yourself, but you can prioritize yourself by prioritizing others. Ex: If you are in a group of people who aren't having fun, that's not very fun for yourself either. By helping them have fun, you are going to have more fun yourself. The key point in both perspectives is not sacrificing yourself for others. You need to have compassion for yourself as well as others.

A bunch of things: Gotta learn to face your fears. If you feel discomfort, act. It's important to do this incrementally. Start with a basic fear, something that causes you discomfort but is not a huge mountain. Work your way up from there. Don't use should. Use could. Should places a value judgement on your actions and causes you to feel like you don't measure up. It creates shame. This, in turn, feeds your AA. It can even be "I really like you but am not sure if I want to be exclusive yet. Let's date more before I decide". Whatever you want. You fucked up by not setting boundaries in the relationship. You can never assume things. This is a very important step that you must discuss with every girl you sleep with. It will solve a lot of headaches. I'm reading into things and I can't mind read, but I'm assuming she felt betrayed by you. While it was a dick move for her to make out with another guy in front of you, it was just as big a deal to her that you went out on a date with someone else. You both failed to communicate your issues.…

Keep it short and not very often. Maybe twice in the next 10 days. Maybe just once. Then ~3 days before the date you can send a "Our date is gonna be so much fun!" and start setting up logistics with her. From there you can proceeded as normal.

Physical: Some type of exercise / physical activity. Mastery: Something you can work on and get better at. If you were yourself from the get-go, you wouldn't have this issue. =D. Read Models by Mark Manson. It will tell you why relationships fail and how to keep them strong. TL;DR: 1) Always put yourself first, her second, and everyone else after that. Make sure she isn't the only reason you get up in the morning. Have dreams and goals. Don't be needy. 2) Be vulnerable. Let her in and let her know the real you.

The process of seduction is the same no matter what your end goal for the relationship. After you hook up, you decide what you want out of the relationship. If the girl is cool with that, then you continue. If you want different things, you move on and find someone else who matches what you want. I define different relationships as: "Fuck Buddies": You use each other for sex. There is no friendship. You don't hang out. You call each other up, have sex, then leave. (TBH these relationship are pre…

This sounds like a flake waiting to happen. I wouldn't focus on getting laid tonight. Go out and have fun. If things are going well just say that you want to keep hanging out and suggest going back to her place. There are many people in this world who take vows of celibacy. Priests, Buddhist monks, etc. They live fufilling, joy filled lives. You don't need to get laid. It is not a requirement to be happy. It is a biological impulse that you can either act or not act on. Step one is to fix your beliefs. Realize that this desperation will not go away once you lose your virginity. The fact that you are a virgin amplifies it, but does not create it. You are trying to validate yourself through having sex. Th…

We exist. Therefore we are worthy of love and belonging. We have been socially conditioned to believe otherwise by a culture of 'never enough'. The flawed underlying assumption in Manson's approach is that "who we are has always been good enough." If that was true, there would be no need to change. This is true. I feel the same way. There is a general need to maintain the connection. Text game can work, but it is risky and should only be used when necessary. The catch is that text game should almost always be used within the context of setting up a date. For example, if you're buzy its "Hey I want to hang out, but I'm buzy. Stay in the moment Have as much fun as possible no matter what you are doing Learn to love yourself and others will love you too.

It's both depending on what you're looking for. Seduction is 90% being bold and going after what you want. The rest is logistics. So they go hand in hand.

Confidence. Courage. The ability to forge your own destiny. If you are looking for a place to start, there is no better point that Mark Manson's Models: Attracting women through Honesty. It deals not in how to get women to sleep with you, but gives you a guide for becoming an incredibly attractive man that women will want to sleep with. A subtle but important difference.

Yes. If you seduce properly you can go from approach to sex in under an hour. You should never expect anything however (Be outcome independent), but always push things as far as you can. You'll be surprised where it gets you.

Short answer: tell them how old you are. Long answer: Women are attracted to a man's behavior. They want men who are confident, happy and have pride in themselves. So when they ask you how old you are say "I'm 18", but be proud of the fact that you are 18. Avoiding the question or blowing it off makes it seem like you are insecure. YOU think it is disqualifying. If you think it is fucking awesome that you are 18, then so will everyone else. Every male goes through this same situation. Most of th…

If you want her, go after her. That's all there is to it. Just make sure you really want her, and not just getting laid. Remember, you are choosing her over the 10,000s of women that are available for you to approach. If you are truly selecting her, then go all-in.

I'm looking for tips on internalizing new beliefs. Right now I have a list of beliefs that I check throughout the day and whenever I go out. Things like "You are the most important person in your life" and "SHE IS INTO YOU!". I want to be able to believing these things through and through without having to refer to my list. Especially when drunk.

Read Models by Mark Manson You still want to be confident, charming, and the man that she fell for. Lead your life and be awesome and you'll be great. Always put yourself first, your lady second, and everyone else after that. If you got into a relationship by using canned material, you're going to struggle.

Models should be top of the list. It's a great guide on the type of man you want to become. The Manual by W. Anton is a great follow up. It's more about the actual seduction process and how to get a woman in bed. Models will improve your life overall and help you have great relationships (of any type) with really high quality women. The Manual will help you get laid tonight.

They smoke, but you smoking doesn't make them more attractive to them. It just means you smoke. It's neutral. Never positive.
/r/seduction07/11/13 05:53 AM

Fair point. Not all women will find it unattractive. However, no women will find it attractive. It's either negative or neutral, never positive. No matter what it's a net-loss on your health, confidence, and ability to seduce women. Worst habit to have.

No. You are using cigs as an excuse to talk to women because you aren't confident enough to just go up and talk to them. Want to strike up a conversation? Go up to them and say "Hi". Also, stop smoking. It's unattractive.

A few things: Stop wanting to be like them. Start wanting to be a better version of yourself. Accept who you are, work on self-improvement and develop a mentality of being awesome. You want girls to like your photos on facebook because you need validation. You should stop caring whether girls like your photos or not. This will help you become that better version of yourself. Don't look to others to validate you, validate yourself. The only way to be awesome is to decide you are awesome. Finally,…

She didn't even respond to my text though. It'll get you a number, but if she's drunk she'll flake. Only really useful during the day. Honestly a "I think you're beautiful and want to take you out on a date" is far better. It's more concise. Remember it's not what you say but why and how you say it that matters to women.

When I was in the depths of my social anxiety I had the same thought process. I wasn't good enough for anything, not just girls, but school, friends, life. What I realized is that we're all awesome. Every single one of us. We're unique and incredible human beings. It is our very nature to be awesome, we just cover it up with insecurity and other such bullshit.

Comfort You must make them feel comfortable and safe around you. This means developing a deeper emotional connection with them. Realize that female attraction is very different from male attraction. For males, looks are almost all that mater. Luckily for us female attraction has far more to do with social status, honesty, confidence and lifestyle than looks. Don't get me wrong, looks matter. But for 99.99% of the male population if you are fit and dress well, it doesn't matter what your facial or body structure is. Hit the gym. Dress well. Pursue your passions. Most importantly, face your fears. If you do these things yo…

Don't try and entertain her. She's already attracted to you, there's no need! You'll just come off as fake and that will kill the attraction. The first date is all about seeing if you are a match. The first one sounds like someone who has their values straight. Silence is only as awkward as you make it As an introvert and someone recovering from social anxiety this is something I've had to learn and champion, and it's very true. For a long time I felt like I had to say something during silences and by doing so I made them awkward. Once I was able to accept who I was and be confident in myself, those silences gave way to thought instead of nerves, and when the silence stops it's usually because I've come up with a really good question or topic.

Socially, they are expected to be "compliant" (i.e. cooperative) partners to women. However, they are also urged by women's sexual interest to maintain an "attractive personality" (i.e. assertive and ambitious) These are not mutually exclusive traits. Author sets up a situation which doesn't exist where men are treated as either jerks or 'nice guys'. In reality, women and men have different tastes, backgrounds, and problems, and need differening things in a mate. Poor article.
