Yeah, it's really competitive out there. There are way more guys on Tinder than girls, and many guys opt to use services like PicBot or Photofeeler to optimize their photos, so you're at a disadvantage if you're not doing the same. I've had more success on OkC and in real life than I ever had on Tinder, where you basically have to have perfect photos or spend money to stand out.

I 100% agree. I've dated girls that are extremely attractive, have had girls who are beautiful show interest, but on all the dating apps girls barely even acknowledge me. If I happen to match with an attractive woman they barely respond or don't respond at all. And I agree - after a while, it gets to you. I question whether I'm really attractive or not or what the deal is - maybe those girls were flukes? It sucks... I'd like to get off online dating but I feel like offline dating is even harder. I rarely meet girls I'm attracted to or interested in, and most girls I've talked to say having a guy approach them in the store or on the street is creepy. I'm kind of at a loss but something needs to change for me.

Internet dating is pretty superficial. Online, you're just another face in the crowd. People are shopping for their ideal, and not taking anything else into consideration. Think about it. If a girl finds even the tiniest thing she doesn't like about your appearance or the way you worded the first sentence in your profile, etc, she can just swipe/click/whatever until she finds a guy she likes better. It's highly likely that you also do this, even if you're not conscious of it at the time. Why would anyone settle for anything less in this situation? It's so convenient to just shop around. Of course, we all know that everyone's pretty fake online, so a good portion of relationships started from there never really get off the ground. In real life, there are a lot more factors that play into whether or not someone is going to consider you attractive, which is why you'll generally do much better in person than online. The more organically a relationship develops, the better chance there is that it's going to be lasting and satisfactory. It's rare to get that online.
